
Sophie Pornschlegel is a Policy Fellow at Das Progressive Zentrum and currently works as a Senior Policy Analyst at the European Policy Centre (EPC) and as a project manager for Connecting Europe, a joint initiative of the EPC and Stiftung Mercator. From 2017 to 2019, she has already worked as a project manager at the DPZ in the Future of Democracy programme area. She headed projects on representation, political participation and parliamentarism in Europe. She also was a board member responsible at a grassroots think tank on European and foreign affairs, Polis180, where she was in charge of the international network. She previously worked as a public affairs consultant for three years, as well as in the political section of the representation of the European Commission in Berlin. She also gained work experience at the French-German channel Arte and worked for a Labour MP at Westminster. She holds an M.Sc. in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and the London School of Economics (LSE) as well as a B.A. in Politics from Sciences Po Paris. She speaks German, French, English, and understands Italian.
