Mansour was born in 1980 in Teheran and grew up in Hamburg. He studied economics and political science in Freiburg, Rome, Washington and Basel and graduated with a Master of Science in Business and Economics from the University of Basel (CH). Already during his studies, Mansour focused on questions of equality of opportunity, fairness and public policy. Since 2017, Mansour heads the Stiftung Grundeinkommen (Basic Income Foundation) which he co-founded. Together with international partners, the foundation supports research on the effectiveness, design and feasibility of basic income.
