Florencia Lamarca

Dancer and somatic practitioner

Lamarca, Florencia

Florencia Lamarca is a contemporary dancer and somatic practitioner. She was born in Uruguay and from the age of 14 studied dance in Israel. There, she was part of the famous Bat-Sheva dance company lead by Ohad Naharin and first learned to experience the idea of listening to the body through the movement language GAGA. Fifteen years ago, she moved to Berlin to work with some of Europe’s most renowned choreographers. From 2007 to 2019 she danced with the company Sasha Waltz & Guests, touring worldwide. Her passion to connect the body and the mind, breaking through limitations and thus connecting pleasure and endless possibilities lead her to become a practitioner of the Grinberg method and later the Pantarei approach. Since 2011 she has been combining her knowledge of movement and her somatic healing skills at Fluentbody / Florencia Lamarca practice in Berlin and teaches internationally.
